Privacy Policy
Maridian, Inc. ("Maridian," "we," or "us") is building software that turns spoken and written orders into invoices and payment links. The Maridian service has not launched. Today we operate this website and a waitlist for early access.
This policy explains how we handle personal information now, and the commitments that will govern the service when it launches.
At a glance
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking technology.
- The waitlist asks for your business details and contact information so we can tell you when Maridian is available for your business and help you set up.
- Joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to newsletters or other marketing email.
- Entering a phone number does not sign you up for text messages. If you check the separate text message box, we send one text asking you to confirm, and nothing more unless you reply YES. You can stop at any time by replying STOP.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to remove you from the waitlist, at any time.
Part 1. How we handle information today
01 Scope of this policy
This policy covers maridian.co, the waitlist, and the communications we send people on the waitlist. Part 2 sets out the commitments that will govern the Maridian service once it launches.
Before the service launches, we will publish an updated policy that describes it in full, and we will notify people on the waitlist.
02 When you visit our website
Technical information. Like any website, ours receives standard technical information with each request: your IP address, your browser type and version, the page requested, and the time. Our hosting provider processes this information on our behalf to:
- deliver pages;
- protect the site from malformed and abusive requests;
- limit repeated form submissions.
We do not use it to build profiles or to identify you.
Your display preference. The site sets no cookies. If you use the light and dark switch, your browser saves your choice on your device so the site remembers it. That setting is never sent to us. Our Cookie Policy explains it.
Security reports. Our pages carry security rules that tell your browser what the page may load and run. When something conflicts with those rules, for example a script added by a browser extension, your browser may send us a short technical report. A report contains:
- the address of the page;
- the item involved;
- the rule concerned;
- a short sample of the code.
We use these reports only to detect attacks and errors, and we keep only shortened versions of them.
What we do not use. We do not use analytics, advertising, social media pixels, session recording, device fingerprinting, or content served by other companies. Links to our social media pages are ordinary links.
03 When you join the waitlist
What you are signing up for
The waitlist is a request to hear from us when Maridian is available for your business. By joining, you ask us to:
- record your interest in early access;
- notify you when Maridian is available for your business and market;
- invite you to set up, and help you complete setup.
Joining does not create an account. It does not commit you to any purchase, and it does not guarantee access, timing, features, or pricing. You can leave the waitlist at any time (section 9).
What we ask for, and why

Communications you should expect
We contact people on the waitlist only about their place on the waitlist and their early access:
- Availability notice: when Maridian is available for your business and market.
- Invitation and setup: how to get started, and help completing setup.
- Waitlist notices: material changes to the waitlist, our Terms of Service, or this policy. We send these by email.
We use these channels:
- Email, if you provided an address. Every waitlist email identifies Maridian and includes a way to stop receiving them.
- Phone calls from a member of our team, to the number you provided. We do not place automated, prerecorded, or artificial-voice calls. If you ask us to stop calling, we will.
- Text messages, only if you checked the text message box (section 4).
We will not message you through a messaging app unless you message us first or agree to receive messages there.
Joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to newsletters or other marketing email. If we offer email updates in the future, we will ask for your permission separately.
If you ask us to stop emailing or calling you, we record the request so that we can honor it.
How your entry is handled
Your entry travels over an encrypted connection to our hosting provider. The provider checks it and stores it in a database operated for us by a separate service provider. Access is limited to the Maridian team members who manage early access.
We use waitlist information for the communications above, to plan early access, to keep records of your agreement and choices, to prevent abuse, and to comply with the law. We do not use it for advertising. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
04 Text messages
Text messages are a separate, optional choice. Entering a phone number does not authorize them. We send text messages only if you check the text message box, and checking it is never required to join. The box appears for U.S. phone numbers, the only numbers our text message program serves.
If you opt in, Maridian will send you recurring automated text messages about your early access, including when Maridian is available for your business and how to set up. Some of these messages, such as the availability notice, are promotional. We will ask for your permission separately before sending any other kind of text message.
- Our first text asks you to confirm. We send nothing further unless you do, apart from replies to HELP or STOP.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop all text messages from Maridian. We will confirm with one final message.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@maridian.co.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
The full program terms are in section 4 of our Terms of Service.
We keep a record of your opt-in, the wording you saw, your confirmation, and any opt-out. Our hosting and database providers handle these records for us. Otherwise, we share them only with the providers and carriers that deliver our messages, or as section 5 allows.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party, other than the service providers that store this information and deliver our messages on our behalf.
05 Who receives information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers. A small number of companies process information for us, under contract and on our instructions. They may not use it for their own purposes.

Our waitlist database is stored in the United States. Our hosting and email providers may also process information in other countries where they operate, for example to deliver pages from a location near you. If you ask at privacy@maridian.co, we will identify our providers by name.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to:
- comply with law, legal process, or a government request;
- enforce our terms;
- detect or prevent fraud, abuse, or security problems;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
Business transfers. If Maridian is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction. The recipient will be required to honor this policy, or we will notify you and give you the choices the law requires.
Part 2. When the Maridian service launches
06 Commitments for the service
The Maridian service is in development and is not yet available. Nothing in this part describes processing we perform today.
If we invite you to test the service before launch, we will give you terms and a privacy notice specific to that test. The policy we publish at launch will keep these commitments:
- Purpose. We will process the recordings and messages a business sends to Maridian to create, deliver, and keep records of the invoices and payment links it requests.
- Confirmation on money fields. When the system is not confident about a price, quantity, or amount, it will ask the business to confirm instead of guessing.
- No voiceprints. We will not use recordings to create voiceprints or other biometric identifiers, or to identify who is speaking.
- Training only with permission. We will keep a recording to improve our speech recognition only with the business's permission, which it can withdraw at any time.
- No sale and no advertising. We will not sell recordings or information derived from them, or use them for advertising.
- Payments. Licensed payment providers will process every payment under their own terms. Maridian will not hold, route, or settle funds, and will not receive full payment card numbers.
- Recordings that include other people. A business that sends a recording containing another person's voice or details will be responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires.
- Payers. People who receive an invoice will have the same rights described in Part 3 for information Maridian holds about them.
Part 3. Your rights and other information
07 How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires. Then we delete or de-identify it.

08 How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we hold:
- connections to our website are encrypted, and browsers are instructed to use only encrypted connections;
- strict security rules prevent our pages from loading code or content from other websites;
- the credentials that write to the waitlist database exist only on our servers;
- access is limited to the people who need it.
No system is completely secure. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
09 Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold personal information about you, and provide access to it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, or remove you from the waitlist;
- provide a copy of your information in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you gave, including for text messages. Reply STOP to any text, or email us.
How to ask. Email privacy@maridian.co. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm the request from the phone number or email address in our records. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we may ask the agent for proof of authority.
We respond within the period the law that applies to you requires. Where no shorter period applies, we respond within 30 days. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may ask us to reconsider.
We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. We may keep information the law requires us to keep, such as an opt-out that we must continue to honor.
10 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our website does not track visitors over time or across other websites, and it does not allow other companies to do so. There is therefore nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off; the site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends one.
We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information linked to that browser. We do neither for anyone.
11 Information for people in specific places
United States. We extend the rights in section 9 to everyone, wherever they live. In the past 12 months we collected:
- identifiers: phone number, email address, IP address;
- business information you provided;
- internet activity on our website: technical information and security reports;
- information about how you completed the form: the time taken, the address of the page it was sent from, and, until October 13, 2026, whether you opened the links to our Terms of Service and this policy;
- your self-reported country and state.
We collected this information from you and your browser for the purposes in sections 2 and 3, and disclosed it to the categories of service providers in section 5. We have not sold or shared personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Nevada. We do not sell covered information as Nevada law defines that term. Nevada residents may still direct us not to sell it. Send a verified request to privacy@maridian.co, our designated request address. We will respond within the period in section 9, and in any case within 60 days.
California. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Brazil. Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), you may:
- confirm whether we process your data, and access it;
- correct it;
- anonymize, block, or delete data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed unlawfully;
- request portability;
- delete data processed with your consent;
- learn which entities we share it with;
- learn about the option to withhold consent and its consequences;
- withdraw consent.
You may also petition the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD). Our legal bases are:

Your waitlist information is stored in the United States. We transfer it because the transfer is necessary for the pre-contractual procedures you request (Art. 33, IX). Our text message program serves U.S. phone numbers only.
Mexico. You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition, and you may revoke your consent. Send your name, a way to reach you, and a description of your request to privacy@maridian.co.
Kenya. Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you may:
- be informed about how your data is used;
- access it;
- object to its processing;
- have it corrected;
- have it deleted.
You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@maridian.co.
12 Where information is processed
We store the waitlist in the United States. Our hosting and email providers may also process information in other countries where they operate (section 5). Section 11 explains the basis for transfers from Brazil. We apply the commitments in this policy to everyone, wherever they are.
13 Children
Maridian is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@maridian.co and we will delete it.
14 Changes to this policy
We will post any new version on this page with a new version number and effective date. Before a material change takes effect, we will also notify people on the waitlist by email, if they provided an address.
We will not use information we already hold in a materially different way without notice. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it.
